Gloucester County boys soccer recap for Sept. 30: Sterling shuts out Gateway

Josh Moreland netted a pair of goals in leading Sterling to a 3-0 victory over Gateway Friday in Woodbury Heights.

Jake Camardo also scored for the Knights (3-3-1) who ended a two-game losing streak.

Gateway dropped to 4-5.

Millville 1, Williamstown 0

Shaun McCarthy scored the goal which allowed Millville to leave Monroe Township with a 1-0 victory over Williamstown Friday.

Matthew Sooy made a pair of saves as the Thunderbolts (5-2-1) extended their unbeaten streak to four games.

Williamstown (3-5-1) lost its second in a row.

Haddon Heights 7, Paulsboro 0

Sean Fischer and Brian Bogina each made a save and combined on Haddon Heights’ 7-0 shutout of Paulsboro Friday in Paulsboro.

The Garnets (4-4-1) received goals from Nolan Lachall, Ronan Caviston, Danny Furlong, Jack Kominos, Jake Silvestri, Ryan Connor and Drew Costello.

Paulsboro fell to 0-7.

West Deptford 8, Gloucester City 0

Luke Humes had two goals and an assist to lead West Deptford past Gloucester City, 8-0, in Gloucester City Fried.

West Deptford (6-3) took control early with five first-half goals. Mason Quinton also had a goal and two assists.

Josue Ramos made 12 saves for Gloucester (1-6).
